Since 1974, ICON has built control panels based on our customer’s specifications as well as our engineered designs. The main difference between ICON and other similar companies is the access to a full control panel shop. Simply put, we have one. They don’t.
Many other engineering firms are limited to designing control panels. ICON’s engineering and CAD team can not only design the panels, they can take the specifications to our in-house manufacturing team for the complete build. Operating as a UL 508A certified panel shop, we build the panels in our facility at 6528 Weatherfield Ct, Maumee, OH 43537. Our expanded manufacturing capabilities—ranging from specialized VFD panel manufacturing to comprehensive electrical control upgrades—separate us from the competition and allow us to keep quality control in the forefront. With this efficient structure and workflow, third-party vendors are eliminated and client exchanges are made simple.
While we pride ourselves on the ability to design state-of-the-art control panels, ICON is also able to build based on outside schematics.

“ICON was contracted to provide the electrical controls and lighting for three “Hatch Houses” being supplied to the US Navy. These Hatch Houses are used to provide ventilation and/or supply of conditioned air to submarines while in dry dock for service and repair. They also are used to provide temporary services to the submarine. During the execution of this project various changes were made to the controls and safety devices. ICON’s engineers were quick to assist our company and met with Navy personnel to work out all the details to the satisfaction of the Navy. The Hatch Houses were delivered and we received feedback from Navy contracting that they were very satisfied with the performance of the Houses.
