An in depth look at one of ICON's glass conveyor system projects:
We were tasked with designing and implementing a modular conveyor system for glass transportation. The system was pre-tested and pre-assembled with plug and play components. The system featured standard components that were readily available. The modular glass transportation system sensors were pre-mounted and pre-wired. The conveyor system was designed for reduced set-up and assembly time. The modular system adapted electrically and mechanically to most automation lines. The system was controlled by PLC / touchscreen within its own control panel. All conveyors were variable speed. Also, there were various equipment options to add such as a camera or bar code monitoring and inspection equipment.
